Survey Reveals End-of-Year Bonus Statistics
[ 作者:  加入时间:2007-02-01 09:39:08  来自: ]
It's end-of-year bonus time! How much extra will you earn after another year of hard work?

Well, a latest survey regarding company welfare policies reveals that many Beijing workers may be disappointed this year.

The Beijing Evening News reports that a survey on employees' year-end bonus was conducted in major Chinese cities, which finds that Shanghaiers earn the most, while Beijing people rank only third. Southern China's Guangzhou City took second place.

The survey says that 62.27 percent of companies pay the bonus in cash, while 29 percent give their employees double pay as a year-end reward. Only 7.6 percent of work-units, most of which are state-owned enterprises, send out physical items.

13.49 percent of employees in Shanghai earn a year-end bonus of 30,000 yuan (3858 USD) or above. The same figure is 9 percent in Guangzhou and 8.77 percent in Beijing.
Sales persons earn more than those in any other industry.

Nearly 82 percent of those interviewed admitted that the company's bonus policy was an important criterion in their deciding whether or not to choose their current employer.

Likewise, 85 percent said that the bonus will affect their work performance over the next year.
