Rock fans in Shanghai were once again lucky when Roger Waters, former leader of the legendary rock band Pink Floyd, came to town on Monday, staging an unforgettable show at the Shanghai Grand Stage.
Fans -- teenagers and adults, Chinese and expats -- were captivated as the star re-staged some of Pink Floyd's classics, including "In the Flesh?" and hit songs from their best-selling album "Dark Side of the Moon."
The touted performance is to be Waters' only one on the Chinese mainland during his 2007 world tour. He will stop in Hong Kong on Thursday.
With a burgeoning rock scene of its own, the city of Shanghai has welcomed a number of world-renowned musicians lately, including the Rolling Stones and late legendary musician James Brown.
