Soon after winding up their successful concert in Taiwan, NewS, a Japanese hot group from the famous Johnny's Entertainment, are scheduled to release their new single as well as their second album on November 7.

According to Johnny's Entertainment, NewS's new single "Weeeek" was penned and composed by the much-talked-about pop quartet GreeeeN and is also the advertising song for a stylish western fashion brand in Japan.

Different from their previous ballad-style single "In the Name of Stars", this time the members' up-tempo rock sound tries to bring listeners upbeat cheers and promises of positive days ahead.

Besides some unpublished songs, the new album "Pacific" will contain four songs selected from their previous works. The most remarkable one is "Teppen". As the group used to have eight members, the present six rerecorded this song and will definitely give their fans a different feeling.

Both the single and the album will have two editions, including a limited one.

The Johnny's Entertainment, which was established by Johnny Kitagawa back in the early 1960's, has dominated the boy-band market in the past four decades. Most of today's top male groups in Japan are its members: SMAP, Tokio, Kinki Kids, V6 and Arashi, while NewS and KAT-TUN are among the up-and-coming younger generation.
