South Korean actress Lee Young-ae traveled to Shanghai on Monday to shoot a commercial for a Korean cosmetics brand.
Although it has been two years since her phenomenally popular television drama, "Dae Jang-geum," took China by a storm, Lee's popularity among local fans has not weakened. Her arrival has attracted a bevy of star-chasers and paparazzi.
The 36-year-old star said in an interview with the local Oriental Morning Post that she was eager to further stretch her career to China, hinting at a desire to cooperate with Chinese counterparts.
An earlier report in December suggested that Lee is also planning to launch a coffeehouse chain in China, Japan and Thailand.
