Movie buffs in Shanghai will be able to enjoy many more small-budget, domestic films in future.
Five major cinema chains are to devote more screen time to this type of film and seven local theaters - Shanghai Film Art Center, Yonghua Cinema, Studio City Cinema, UME International Cineplex, Nextage Film Art Center, SFG Village Cinema City and Cloud Nine Shopping Mall Cinema - are to be involved in the screenings.
The first movie to be shown under the new arrangement is Wang Jing's comedy "All The Year Round."
Other films to be screened include Gu Changwei's "And the Spring Comes" and Wang Xiaoshuai's "In Love We Trust." |
